Applied Hearing Solutions has opened a second clinic at 14301 N 87th St, Suite 307, in Scottsdale. The new location brings the same Best Practice audiology care our Phoenix patients are familiar with to the East Valley, along with a dedicated tinnitus specialty and an advanced treatment option that hasn't been available in this part of the Valley until now. The clinic is currently accepting new patients.
The Same Approach, a New Address
Dr. Cliff Olson and Dr. Kelsey Beck are both seeing patients at the Scottsdale location. Dr. Olson founded Applied Hearing Solutions in 2017 and is widely recognized in the field through his Doctor Cliff, AuD YouTube channel. Dr. Beck is an Arizona native who completed her externship at Applied Hearing Solutions before joining the team full-time.
The care they provide follows the same Best Practice model as our Phoenix clinic. That includes comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid fittings using our 45-day Applied360 Fit sequence, hearing aid repairs, and custom earmolds and earplugs. For East Valley patients who've been making the drive to Phoenix, this brings the same standard of care closer to home.
A Tinnitus Focus Rooted in the Space Itself
The Scottsdale clinic is housed in the former space of Modern Tinnitus, a clinic that Dr. Cliff Olson co-founded. Modern Tinnitus was built around evidence-based tinnitus care, and that emphasis carries directly into this location. Tinnitus isn't a supplemental service here. It's a specialty, with dedicated evaluation protocols and access to treatment options that most clinics in the area don't carry.
Patients dealing with tinnitus often encounter providers who treat it as an afterthought or offer limited intervention options. Applied Hearing Solutions in Scottsdale is the only Lenire partner clinic in the area.
Lenire is an FDA-cleared bimodal neurostimulation device developed by Neuromod Devices for the treatment of tinnitus. It delivers wireless sound through headphones alongside mild electrical stimulation to the tongue through a small mouthpiece. Engaging two sensory systems at once is the underlying mechanism, and clinical research supports this approach as an effective way to reduce tinnitus loudness and the distress that often accompanies it.
The device isn't a masking solution. Rather than covering up the tinnitus signal with competing sound, it works to change how the brain processes that signal over time. For patients who've tried hearing aids, sound therapy, or other approaches without finding adequate relief, it's a legitimate treatment option that's now accessible locally. Dr. Olson and Dr. Beck are trained to evaluate candidacy and support patients through the full course of treatment.
