At Applied Hearing Solutions, we don't believe in the typical "wait and see" approach to long-term hearing care with hearing aids. This is because over time, hearing aid users tend to experience a decline in their overall hearing aid performance that is so gradual it often goes unidentified for months or even years.
By the time it is identified, the solution to fix the problem can be much more complex and often more expensive if the problem has been building overtime. This is why we developed our Applied360 Thrive long-term follow-up care plan.
Applied360 Thrive allows us to proactively stay on top of any performance decreases you may be experiencing with your hearing aids over time, while properly onboarding new patients so they understand what goes into Best Practice follow-up care.
Our Applied360 Thrive program includes strategically scheduled appointments throughout your first year to ensure optimal performance and proper onboarding to our clinic.
30-minute appointments with your Doctor of Audiology to discuss any issues, perform detailed hearing aid checks and preventative maintenance, and review the condition and care recommendations for your devices.
15-30 minute pre-scheduled appointments with our Audiology Assistants for device evaluation, preventative maintenance, and issue resolution, with audiologist consultation available as needed.
60-minute comprehensive appointments including updated hearing evaluation, hearing aid maintenance, diagnostic testing, and hearing aid reprogramming with verification if necessary.
These Platinum visits are critical to stay on top of any changes in your hearing and changes in the mechanical performance of your hearing aids, as gradual as these changes may be. Often, we identify small issues at your Platinum visits that would have otherwise gone unidentified.
After completion of your first year of care inside an Applied360 Thrive care plan, most of our patients have been properly onboarded and continue to see us every 6 months instead of every 4 months for a Gold visit and Platinum visit.
The Applied360 Thrive program is built around several key elements that work together to maintain your optimal hearing performance. Each component plays a vital role in ensuring your hearing aids continue to function at their best while adapting to any changes in your hearing needs or device performance. These essential elements form the foundation of our proactive approach to long-term hearing care:
Regular Gold and Platinum appointments with comprehensive evaluations
Preventative maintenance to prevent costly repairs
Proactive hearing monitoring and device optimization

This structured approach to follow-up care is one of the main reasons our patients report such high satisfaction with their hearing aids long-term. Rather than allowing performance to gradually decline – a common issue with the traditional "call us if you have problems" approach – we maintain optimal performance through regular, preventative care.
The first year with hearing aids is crucial for developing good habits and ensuring your devices continue to meet your needs as you adapt to improved hearing. Our Applied360 Thrive program provides the support and expertise you need during this important transition period. Many of our patients tell us that this consistent care made all the difference in their success with hearing aids.
Beyond the mechanical maintenance of your devices, these regular visits also allow us to address any lifestyle changes or new hearing challenges that may arise. Whether you're experiencing difficulty in a new listening environment or want to explore additional features of your hearing aids, our team is ready to help you get the most from your hearing technology.

The intensive Applied360 Thrive program covers your first year. After proper onboarding, most patients transition to our standard 6-month follow-up schedule, though some may continue with the more frequent schedule if needed.
Yes, our proactive approach prevents problems before they become serious issues. Instead of waiting for you to call with problems, we schedule regular check-ups to maintain optimal performance and catch issues early.
Our team is always available for support between scheduled visits. If you experience any issues or have questions about your hearing aids, you can contact us for assistance. For minor concerns, our Audiology Assistants can often address them quickly, while more complex matters will be directed to your Audiologist.
Your hearing can change gradually over time, which is why regular monitoring is essential. If we detect changes in your hearing during any appointment, we can make appropriate adjustments to your hearing aid programming. At your 12-month Platinum visit, we perform a complete hearing evaluation to detect any changes that might require programming modifications.
Patients often have questions about our proactive follow-up care model and how it differs from traditional approaches. Here are answers to common questions about our Applied360 Thrive program that help explain the benefits of this structured approach.
