Why does the Lyric require specialized training to fit our patients? The Phonak Lyric is a hearing aid that goes deep into the ear canal and stays there for up to three months. As a result, getting the fit just right takes some time. Aware of how tricky it is to fit, Phonak has begun limiting the availability of the Lyric to a select few hearing clinics to ensure that only the best hearing providers would befitting the Lyric. As a provider of some of the most cutting-edge hearing devices, we wanted Lyric to be available to our patients as well. This isn't the first time we've fitted the Phonak, and we're excited to get back into the swing of things with this innovative hearing aid.

The Phonak Lyric - an Overview
Thanks to Lyric, those with hearing loss can now have an ultra-compact size while also getting the improved hearing they're looking for. These tiny gadgets are custom-fit and inserted deep into the ear canal, where they are nearly invisible to your conversation partners. You don't have to bother about daily hassles like putting the device on or taking it off or changing batteries because it stays in the ear canal for months at a time, so you can forget about your hearing loss and spend time connecting with friends and loved ones.
Lyric employs some of the most cutting-edge technology available. The yellow ear seals are constructed of a soft biocompatible substance that fits snugly into most ear canals and provides long-term comfort. Its tiny battery was specifically engineered to last up to 120 days, so you'll never have to replace it. Its microphone and receiver are located in the ear canal, utilizing the ear's natural composition to magnify and provide you with a more natural listening experience.
